Orpheus
Orpheus (Ὀρφεύς; Orfæus) was the God of Music.
The ancient Greek Orpheus could sing and play so beautifully that the wind stopped blowing and the rivers stopped streaming just to listen to him. Well, how about that for a name for a trumpet. The Orpheus is an allround trumpet like the Aeolus, but with a smaller and lighter brass bell. This makes the Orpheus sound a bit more compact and brighter than his bigger brother the Aeolus, but not as aggressive as the Hades. An excellent instrument for symphony orchestras, chamber music and commercial music.
